I started Whole Flavor Kitchen because I needed recipes that actually worked for how I eat — high-protein, whole-food meals with zero junk.
My wife Barb and I both follow a whole-food, protein-first approach to eating that pairs with our GLP-1 journey. When I started looking for recipes that fit our way of eating — no sugar, no processed carbs, no seed oils, just real food — I couldn’t find much. Everything was either bland “diet food” or loaded with ingredients we avoid.
So I started cooking. And then I started writing it down.
Every recipe on this site is built around lean protein, healthy fats, and non-starchy vegetables. Every one has a full macro breakdown so you know exactly what you’re getting. Most serve two, because that’s how we eat — just me and Barb on a Tuesday night, trying to make dinner taste good without undoing our progress.
I’m not a chef. I’m not a nutritionist. I’m just a guy in Missouri who figured out how to make high-protein meals that we actually look forward to eating. If that’s what you’re looking for too, you’re in the right place.
